The card is set to "auto-negotiate" and it's recognised a gigabit connection on a 100MBps LAN/switches? You can ping the machines containing the shares... For those of you that do have the required versions of Windows, go to Control Panel and then to “System and Security > Administrative Tools”. You can now view and work with what is being shared, depending on the permissions that were set when sharing with the Homegroup. I was able too before, I haven't to my knowledge changed anything to contribute to this happening. However, it has no affect on whether you can use LAN files and printers.
